Chestnut Lodge comfortably accommodates up to four guests. It is located in the village of Halnaker, with a pub, village store, and organic farm shop all within walking distance, and a bus service to Chichester every 30 mins.
The South Downs National Park borders the property, it begins at the back garden.

What is there to do?

There is a superb choice of activities and places to visit and keep you entertained locally, and is also ideally situated for day trips further afield:

South Downs National Park. Walk or drive into Englands newest national park; a unique and beautiful area of chalk downland and woods, with a vast network of footpaths and mountain bike trails, picturesque villages, country pubs and abundant wildlife.

The Goodwood Estate, which is famed for its motor racing, golf, horse racing and the world-famous Festival of Speed, is a five-minute drive away. Then just beyond is the historic city of Chichester with its Cathedral, Festival Theatre, shops, and Roman palace.

Chichester harbour (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) is ideal for sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and birdwatching.

Within easy reach are beaches at West Wittering and Bognor Regis, the National Trust stately houses of Petworth and Uppark, the Weald and Downland Living Museum, West Dean Gardens, and Arundel with its historic castle and antique shops. Other attractions include the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Pagham Nature Reserve, the nautical city of Portsmouth, the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.
